Front Office Manager

This is an exciting opportunity exists for experienced Front Office Manager at a High end Safari Lodge in Central Serengeti.

This is property away from town and an energetic, hands-on candidate would be best suited for this role.

Scope and general purpose of the job:

Front office manager will overlook the Reservation Centre operations and Front office section at the lodge to ensure both achieves its revenue targets

Key Responsibilities:

vThe acquisition and maintenance of guests

vTo manage and oversee the daily operation of the department

vMaintaining the required operational and service standards

vEnsure all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to within assigned departments

vLeading, training and motivating the Front Office team

vGuest comment management

vHandling and resolving guest queries and complaints

vInvolvement in the recruitment process of the Department

vSuccessfully maintaining a minimum O-Status account

vFront Office Administration

vOversee all stock control, from ordering to stock counts

vAchieve set monthly budget targets

vActively control and minimize the department’s expenses

vYield management

vControlling operating/service stocks and ensuring accurate stock counts at the required times

vEnforce strict adherence to Quality Assurance standards at all times

vManaging all reservation aspects of the department

vBudgeting for the department

vOverseeing the housekeeping department operations

vDebtors management

vProduce required reports timeously and ensure accuracy at all times

vDuty management

vSales Calls and Telesales to get business

vAny other duties as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.

Front Office Manager Job Vacancy at Expert Consultancy

Critical Skills and Experience:

vFront Office Diploma/Degree and/or Hotel Management Qualification advantageous

v5-8 years Front Office Experience with three years as HOD in same department

vBe self-motivated and be able to take initiatives.

vTEAM player with a positive attitude.

vExcellent computer literacy – Pastel, Opera, Microsoft Excel and Word

vBe contactable after hours to assist in periods of high demand or in case of an emergency.

vFluent in Kiswahili/English both verbal & written
