Job Role

Responsible for optimizing the flow of vehicles, parts, and other materials, overseeing logistics-related matters. Also, optimize inbound logistic networks to reduce transportation and inventory costs. Work with many different stakeholders to ensure timely/cost-efficient vehicles and material movement throughout the organization and to clients

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency
  • Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance
  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
  • Follow-up and track the sea freight vehicles. Telex clearance
  • Liaison with Manufacturers for vehicles available in addition to Liaison with government authorities and offices ( Revenue Authority, Bureau of Standards, Ports Authority)
  • Local logistics – getting the vehicle from bond , deliveries to customers within the country
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers, and monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs
  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
  • Recommend optimal transport modes and routes, select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues
  • Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others
  • Stock management in SAP – Material Creation , stock ordering , stock intake in the system, making vehicle available in the system for invoicing
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities

Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain or Materials Management

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience from a similar position.
  • Previous experience using SAP logistic module is preferable

Job Specific Skills:

  • Highly  skilled  communicator  with  the  ability  to  form  and  maintain  good relationships internally  and  externally
  • Strong  interpersonal, negotiation, and  influencing  skills
  • Knowledge of and interest in logistic processes
  • Commercial and financial acumen with a  full understanding of the impact of failure in terms of business cost,  production schedules, and customer order fulfillment.
  • Ability to keep a sense of perspective in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Possess a great drive and the desire to move things forward, taking ownership in delivering good results even on a tight schedule.
  • Good decisions making ability even under pressure
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Excellent  attention  to  detail  skills
